True Colors of Ghana Art Exhibit at Blackberries in Denver

Paintings and mosaics of Jerry Kayem Mawuena Peters of Ghana
Now at Blackberries: new large format acrylic paintings with Ghana fabric and hand-painted paper mosaics. Kayem is a master painter, woodcarver and mosaic designer. Kayem blends traditional and original elements, with words, acrylic paints and Ghana fabrics to come up with bold, joyful paintings. He also hand-paints paper and creates unique mosaics with themes of both traditional (Adinkra symbols) and contemporary (Boulder flatirons scene).  Kayem is co-founder of Global Faawonu Organization, encouraging you to Reach Out to give street kids a voice and a hand. "These kids are our responsibility," says Kayem. "We can each find a way to help by reaching out."  Learn more about the artist, Kayem of Ghana.
